On this page, I have included a photo gallery showing some of the HOME and GARDEN Newcastle gardening, landscaping, DIY and repairs, technical, basic plumbing maintenance, some high access, decorating and cleaning work that I have undertaken in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. HOME and GARDEN, Newcastle - Experience Summary

GARDENING

What experience do you have as a Gardener?
I have maintained gardens and allotments over a number of years. I have trimmed hedges and bushes, cut grass, trimmed branches off small trees, cut back brambles, weeded and dug over ground, hoed paths and patios, laid patios, paths, gravel, weed barrier and artificial turf. I have also repaired fences and gates, replaced fence posts in concrete, laid concrete, built raised beds and tied back overgrown plants; some of this is actually landscaping. I have occasionally had the opportunity to plan and draw original garden designs, which is great fun!

HANDYMAN

What experience do you have as a Handyman?
I have put up shelves, built stud-partition walls, laid attic flooring, replaced door frames, built bespoke furniture, assembled furniture and garages, hung mirrors and pictures, fitted glass, replaced electrical switches, sockets, lamp fittings, security lights, security alarms and fans. I have also repaired faulty taps and drains, fitted showers, toilets and cisterns and and outdoor taps. Some of this work has included the soldering of copper pipework, which I am competent at. I have also fitted TV aerials, satellite dishes and carried out some basic roof repairs.

DECORATING

What experience do you have as a Decorator?
I have decorated and papered all aspects of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallways, utility rooms and living rooms. My decorating is always finished to a very high standard. I have carried out plastering repairs to damaged plaster walls, up to four square metres at a time. I have also undertaken some bathroom and kitchen tiling where a limited area needs covering with tiles.

CLEANING

What experience do you have as a Cleaner?
I have always enjoyed cleaning, including vacuum cleaning, dusting, cleaning floors, carpets and glass. I have also pressure-washed patios and drives and cleaned toilets and bathrooms.

Price List

There is a call out charge of £18 per visit (see FAQ), plus the round-trip travelling costs (see FAQ), plus the following hourly rates:
